Advance Your Studies with Ease through the Talent Uplift Programme (TUP)!

TomoWork is committed to empowering undergraduate students who are driven to succeed in their future professional endeavours. Through the Talent Uplift Programme (TUP), we are delighted to offer a $4,000 grant per academic year to part-time and full-time students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) enrolled in any university in Singapore.

The grant will be disbursed every semester, with the requirement of completing voluntary work at TomoWork or engaging in other community activities. It can be used to supplement tuition fees, cover course expenses, and assist with costs related to assistive technologies and services. As a TUP scholar, you will also benefit from the guidance of a mentor throughout your academic journey. Upon graduation, TomoWork will provide you with access to employment opportunities within our extensive partner ecosystem, further enhancing your career prospects.

Who We Are Looking For

This year, we are seeking 10 exceptional students who possess a strong drive to kickstart their careers, exhibit curiosity, and aspire to make a positive impact on their communities. We welcome applicants from diverse backgrounds and academic disciplines, provided that you meet the following criteria:

An ID card

Singaporean or Singapore Permanent Resident (SPR) with SEN.

Current or prospective undergraduate student in Singapore.

A stack of money with wording "max of $2800".

The monthly per capita household income not exceeding $2,800.

A scholarship paper crossed.

Not currently benefiting from any existing university, corporate, or government education scholarships. Community bursaries are allowed.

A hand signing a commitment letter.

Committed to paying it forward to future generations after securing employment, through supporting the grant, mentoring, or volunteering.

How It Works

The selection process is based on candidates’ aptitude and attitude, with active participation in community service viewed as a plus point. If your application is shortlisted, you will receive an invitation to an interview with the selection committee. During this stage, you will have the opportunity to ask any questions you may have about the programme, TomoWork, and future plans. Successful applicants will be notified by November 2023.

To ensure a smooth application process, please have the following documents prepared:

A proof of enrollment or Letter of Acceptance (LOA) from any university in Singapore.

Income records of family members residing in the same household for the past three months.

A PDF file containing supporting documents, such as your academic records, involvement in co-curricular activities (CCAs) and/or community service work.

Brief answers explaining why you are applying for this programme, how the grant supports your career pursuit, how you have overcome challenges in your life, and your experience in volunteering and/or CCAs.

Testimonials or recommendation letters are optional but welcome to further enhance your application. You may submit a maximum of two.
