If you are a student or recent graduate with Special Educational Needs (SEN) from an Institute of Technical Education (ITE) or Polytechnic within the last two years, The TomoWork Talent Explorer Programme (TEP) from 19 September to 29 September 2022 offers you a short and fun opportunity to broaden your horizons on the latest industry trends and discover what in-demand skills best complement your career aspirations!
How It Works
This two-week programme will take place on Mondays to Fridays from 10 a.m. to 4.30 p.m. in an inclusive hybrid setting. The first week will be conducted virtually, and the second week will be spent at Republic Polytechnic.
During this programme, you and like-minded peers will:
Learn
Learn about career opportunities in top industries such as Digital Marketing, Sustainability and Human Resources
Discover
Discover the “inside scoop” from industry professionals and which careers are a great fit for you
Explore
Explore your options and craft a career plan for your success
What You Will Be Doing
Week 1 (VIRTUAL)
You will gain domain knowledge of jobs and careers in Digital Marketing, Sustainability and Human Resources, as well as engage in exciting career conversations with industry professionals. On top of that, you will be a part of our close-knit community and have the opportunity to network with other students with Special Educational Needs who are looking to launch their careers.
The week will focus on:

Introduction to Digital Marketing
- A crash course in the fundamentals of digital marketing delivered by TomoWork
- A sharing session on specific digital marketing skills and careers, provided by Google and Meta

Introduction to Sustainability
- A crash course in the fundamentals of sustainability delivered by TomoWork
- A sharing session on specific sustainability concepts and careers, provided by Sembcorp

Introduction to Human Resources
- A crash course in fundamentals of People’s Operations delivered by TomoWork
- A sharing session on specific talent and Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) concepts and careers, provided by Bloomberg LP
Week 2 (at republic polytechnic)
In the second week, you will work in groups to conceptualise and pitch your creative thinking in the Ideation Challenge. There are up to $3,000 in cash prizes to be won! The winners may also receive a one-day job visit at the sponsoring company’s office, an internship opportunity with TomoWork (by invitation only), and preferential entry into TomoWork’s flagship Talent Accelerator Programme!
