Launch of a New Advocacy Campaign "Infinity Within" Championing Greater Awareness, Visibility and Support for Invisible Disabilities

SINGAPORE, June 12, 2025— TomoWork, a Singapore charity with IPC status, launched “Infinity Within”, a new advocacy campaign championing greater awareness, visibility, and support for individuals with invisible disabilities. The campaign was officially announced at its annual gathering event “Tomo Day 2025” on 12 June 2025 at Republic Polytechnic.

Graced by Guest-of-Honour Mr Eric Chua, Senior Parliamentary Secretary, Ministry of Social and Family Development & Ministry of Law, and Special Guest, Ms Rachel Ong, Chairman of Purple Parade Limited and Member of Parliament for Tanjong Pagar GRC, over 180 guests, including corporate leaders from TomoWork’s corporate partners such as Sumitomo Life Insurance Company, Micron Technology, Singlife, Haworth, and Swire Shipping were gather at the event.

Infinity Within Campaign” is a movement advocating for greater awareness, visibility and support for people with invisible disabilities such as ASD, ADHD, Dyslexia, and partial hearing or vision loss in Singapore. As part of this campaign, TomoWork is producing the “imVISIBLE pin”, a wearable symbol of support, solidarity, and inclusion.

The “imVISIBLE pin” features a half-purple, half-transparent infinity symbol – purple for dignity, inclusiveness, and allyship with persons with disabilities; transparent for the unseen challenges of invisible disabilities; and infinity to represent neurodiversity, ongoing support and boundless possibilities within.

Wearing the pin serves three purposes:

  • Self-Identify: Individuals with invisible disabilities may choose to wear the pin as a voluntary indication of their condition
  • Support: A visible sign of support and advocacy by allies. People who donate $60 or more during this SG60 year will receive the pin as a token of appreciation. Donation at: https://www.giving.sg/seo/share/campaign/infinity-within
  • Spark: To spark and invite meaningful conversations about the realities and needs of those with invisible disabilities and how we can all be more inclusive.

The campaign will feature a mix of online and offline initiatives, including online educational content such as Vodcasts and articles to foster a deeper understanding of invisible disabilities at the microsite (https://infinity-within.com/), alongside interactive events to spark meaningful conversations and raise public awareness.

Notably, the campaign is shaped by people with disabilities, for people with disabilities. The campaign’s video content and creative assets are produced by students with invisible disabilities participating in TomoWork’s Talent Accelerator Programme (TAP) 2025, a 12-week school-to-work transition programme. This year’s TAP is being held at the Republic Polytechnic, thanks to their generous support. Participants are focused on capturing and conveying stories from diverse perspectives, with a strong emphasis on first-person narratives from individuals with invisible disabilities. By painting a “Now to Future” picture of inclusion in Singapore, highlighting both current realities and hopes for a more inclusive society, the campaign leverages video storytelling to humanise these experiences and foster deeper understanding.

Mike Momota, Founder and Board Director of TomoWork, said:

“As we continue to listen to the voices within our community, we found that awareness and understanding of invisible disabilities remain limited, and misconceptions still exist. Through the Infinity Within Campaign, we aim to cultivate empathy and deliver real stories that foster deep understanding. We hope to expand a sustainable circle of support championing this movement, for building an inclusive society where everyone feels recognised and empowered to contribute. We hope to support the vision of the Enabling Masterplan 2030 and contribute to a more inclusive Singapore.”

Now in its fifth edition, TAP has empowered 118 students with special educational needs since 2021, achieving a 79% job placement rate within six months of programme completion. At Tomo Day, the latest cohort presented their corporate projects presentation to guests.
