TomoWork x Insights

Building collaborative skills with colleagues and accepting feedback at the workplace can be rather challenging for fresh graduates. Through this workshop with Ms Yvonne Huang from Insights & Ms Padmashree Santosh from Dyson, our participants learnt to untangle different communication preferences, deal with opposing personalities and showcase how their individual strengths can improve team synergy.

Yay It's Monday with TomoWork

In May 2020, TomoWork presented our first inclusive virtual engagement activity “Yay! It’s Monday with TomoWork!” for members and partners. The COVID-19 outbreak limited our ability to present physical events in Singapore but our team saw an opportunity to help our community build new habits that benefit the future of work & strengthen personal resilience.

We hosted 20 people with and without disabilities over a week, to complete a series of tasks focused on personal and professional development, inclusive entertainment and wellness.

We were heartened to see strong participation and to hear how this activity helped everyone start the week on the right note. Our special guests also offered strong words of encouragement, urging TomoWork members to stay connected, remain positive and embrace constant learning and development during these challenging times.

TomoWork Pilot (2019)

An initiative launched in Singapore in September 2019, TomoWork was initially a 2-week pilot to design a co-working space accessible for persons with disabilities. During this time, we worked with 15 persons with disabilities to develop a greater understanding of the disability landscape in Singapore, including the challenges seeking gainful employment.
