Talent Explorer Programme POLITE 2025

Talent Explorer Programme (TEP) for POLITE 2025: Empowering Growth through Exploration

The Talent Explorer Programme (TEP) for POLITE 2025 recently concluded at ITE College Central, bringing together 53 Polytechnic and ITE students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) for a five-day experiential journey of career discovery, collaboration, and self-growth.

Designed for students who require tailored support, the programme guided participants to explore career pathways in growth industries, develop essential workplace skills, and connect with peers from different schools—many meeting for the first time.

The Programme

Day 1 began with onboarding activities and a lively campus scavenger hunt, setting the tone for teamwork and fun. Through the Design Your Career workshop, participants reflected on their strengths and aspirations before hearing from TAP alumni and SG Enable, who shared personal stories and advice about navigating career journeys.

Days 2 and 3 focused on industry exposure and project preparation, with participants meeting professionals from Sentosa Development Corporation, The Ascott Limited, Standard Chartered, Singlife, LinkedIn, Amazon Web Services (AWS), and Micron Technology. Human Library sessions offered intimate discussions about real workplace experiences, helping students link their learning to practical contexts. Working in newly formed teams, they also began brainstorming ideas for the upcoming Presentation Challenge.

On Day 4, teams brought their ideas to life during the Presentation Challenge powered by Nestlé R&D, proposing creative solutions around healthy eating, sustainability, and food innovation. Considering that most had only met days before, their ability to collaborate and deliver confident presentations was especially impressive. The afternoon’s Essential Workplace Skills activities further strengthened empathy, adaptability, and teamwork through a circuit of ten engaging stations.

Day 5 wrapped up the week with reflection and the second part of Design Your Career, where participants shared their takeaways and personal next steps.

TEP for POLITE 2025 offered more than just career exploration—it created a supportive space where young learners could connect, grow, and discover what’s possible when diverse talents come together.
